SEBA BEACH PATROL SERVICE
The Summer Village of Seba Beach employs Peace Officers to enhance public safety and for the preservation and maintenance of public peace. Peace Officers are mandated to provide specialized law enforcement services and increase public safety within the Province of Alberta and the Municipalities that they serve.
Peace Officers are trained and graduates of the Alberta Justice and Solicitor General Staff College. All peace officer must complete this mandatory Peace Officer Induction Training as a requirement to be appointed as a Peace Officer for the Province of Alberta.
The Patrol Service maintains a close working relationship with the RCMP, other policing agencies, provicial and municipal enforcement agencies. As well are appointed as Emergency Responders to help assist emergency services regarding current events, concerns and issues that may arise.
The Patrol Services primary mandate is to conduct proactive community patrols, education and enforcement, helping ensure the effective delivery of specialized law enforcement in relation to community policing needs.
The Summer Village of Seba Beach also has a contracted Bylaw Enforcement Officer to perform Bylaw Enforcement and Animal Control duties within the municipality.
